KDa’s DaDaikanyama Tsutaya T-SITE (2011), Ginza Place (2016), Open House (Bangkok, 2017) and Cartier Facade Osaka (2021) have all become landmarks. KDa has won the American Retail Environment Awards, D&AD Awards, World Architecture Festival Awards, Wallpaper* Design Awards, Dezeen Awards and The DFA Design for Asia Awards - Grand Award for three times.

Mark is a frequent guest speaker at international design events, has taught at universities in Japan and beyond and in 2000 was awarded an MBE (Member of the British Empire) for services to British Design in Japan.

In 2003 Mark and Astrid devised PechaKucha Night as an event for Tokyo designers to meet and share their work – it has now grown into an international network with events running in over 1,200 cities around the globe, inspiring creatives worldwide.
