Dr. Lorraine Justice is a Dean Emerita and Professor of Industrial Design at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). Prior to RIT she was Dean for seven years at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) where she helped raise funding to bring the Zaha Hadid Innovation Tower to the PolyU campus. While in Hong Kong she published China’s Design Revolution (MIT Press) in 2012. Before Hong Kong, Dr. Justice was the Director of the Industrial Design Program at Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) for 6 years, and prior to that worked in industry and as a professor at The Ohio State University. She is a Fellow of the Industrial Design Society and a TED presenter. Her recent book, The Future of Design, Global Product Innovation for a Complex World, was published in 2019 (Hachette). She conducts international workshops and consults on the future of design and technology for governments and corporations.
